The above graphic is the well-known painting by famous Civil War artist-soldier Conrad Wise Chapman (1842-1910), who visited the historic sub at it's Mount Pleasant dock December 2, 1863. He also did the starboard side sketch used in the heading of my Main Page. Besides painting everyday Confederate camp life, he also painted numerous heroic scenes of the defense of Charleston.
The following images are of a computer model created using primarily 3D Studio r3. Some components were initially created with the help of CorelDRAW 7 and Amapi 4.15. All images were rendered in Bryce 4.1.
